John and his wife, Iris, have enjoyed volunteer opportunities as a Big Brother Big Sister and at the Animal Quarantine station. John also helped to raise funds for the non-profit Lokahi Tree. When not working, John and Iris enjoy cooking, maintaining the yard at their Mililani home and hiking with the two dogs they adopted from the Hawaiian Humane Society.
